3 Conversations to Lead a Friend to Jesus:
Each of the three conversations below consists of three connected topics. These can be split into nine different conversations over a long period of time, or they can all be covered in one lengthy conversation. You can also skip certain questions or change the order as the Holy Spirit leads you. This isn’t a rigid list; it’s just a tool meant to give you ideas.
Before meeting with someone, read through what is written here so it’s fresh in your mind. Try not to refer to this list during your conversation since constantly looking at your phone can be considered rude. This will also help keep the conversation natural.

Do not let this list become a replacement for the Holy Spirit! Let Him lead and guide your conversation. Add new questions as they come into your mind. Rely more on Him than on this material, and your chances of successfully leading someone to Jesus will be much higher. But if you’re not sure where to start, this reference can be a great tool.
Throughout every conversation, look for opportunities to share your testimony and talk about Jesus—who He is, what He has done, and especially why that should matter to the person. As you’re out with this person, listen to them intently, but also look for opportunities to show love to other people. Offer to pray for people. Look for opportunities to minister healing in Jesus’ name. If God works a miracle, see how that influences the conversation.
Start below with the Gospel Toolbox. Learn the three tools so you're ready to lead your friend to salvation as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
Once you’ve had all the conversations above, if the person still hasn’t made a decision to follow Jesus, keep loving them. Ask the Holy Spirit for next steps.
If you have not already done so, now would be a great time to introduce your friend to other believers from your church. Perhaps even invite them to attend your house church. It’s possible that someone else will receive a prophetic word, word of knowledge, or other gift of the Spirit that helps settle the decision for your friend. We are a family, and we make disciples together.
If your friend gives their life to Jesus, give them a print or digital copy of Rooted and walk them through the twelve Christianity 101 conversations.
